A super app wins when players use more than one product. THNDR free matches give every product in your app a reward it can hand to the next, so a bettor, a casino player, or a Rips user becomes a skill game player with one API call.
A super app is built on one bet: a player who uses several of your products is worth more than one who uses a single product. Same login, same wallet, more reasons to come back.
The hard part is the first move. Players settle into the product they came for. Banners and push notifications invite them to try something new, but the player still carries the risk. A reward removes it.
The THNDR free match API lets you give a player one or more skill game matches at a chosen tier without the player paying the entry fee. They play a normal match against a paying opponent for the normal reward.
The player sees the free match as a tile above the regular tiers, taps it, and goes straight into matchmaking. No payment step, no friction.
For your platform, it is one grant request and one payout. Any system in your stack can trigger the grant: the sportsbook after a settled bet, the casino after a session, the rewards engine at a milestone. When the grant is played out or expires, THNDR sends a single PROMO transaction and you credit it to the player.
Take Rips. A user finishes a rip and gets a free match as a reward. They did not come looking for a skill game, but now they are in one, playing for a real reward at no cost. If they enjoy it, the next match is a paid one, inside the same app.
The same pattern works anywhere in a super app:
bet100 (a 1 USD base fee, 2 USD reward) lets them feel a real win without risking anything.expireAt creates urgency. If you set none, the grant runs for 7 days.Every grant can carry a campaignId, so each source gets its own label, such as rips-reward or sportsbook-acca. Track how many players from each source go on to play paid matches, and move budget to the products that convert best.
If your super app runs several brands, brandId restricts a grant to one brand, so it only shows and plays in that brand's sessions. subOperatorId splits reporting further.
Endpoints, request fields, error codes, and the full grant lifecycle are in the free matches API documentation.
